We are in the midst of our Lenten journey together. I hope you are using the Lenten resources that were sent to you in February. The Lenten calendar and activity book has wonderful ideas on how to learn about and how to be involved in Lent as a family.
Our Heifer Project is going on throughout Lent. Each child was given a Heifer calendar and Ark bank in February. The children are being asked to collect money in the bank during Lent and bring what they have collected the Sunday after Easter. This money will then go to help families around the world. If your child did not receive an Ark bank – we have extras! Each Sunday in Lent, Life Passages meets at 10:15 am in the Gathering Place to hear more about the Heifer Project. Thanks to Doug Althauser who is leading this service project again.
During March we will continue to have Sunday morning classes with some wonderful Bible stories. This month the children will learn about Mary & Martha, Zacchaeus, The Last Supper and The Day Jesus Died. We will have regular class on Sunday, March 28th, which is Palm Sunday. There will be NO classes on April 4th which is Easter Sunday.
Don’t forget that on March 7th, we will also meet to sing some songs and to celebrate March Birthdays. If your child has a March birthday, don’t forget coins for the church bank.
